In fact we plan more in Agile, it's just that we don't do all the planning upfront. Rather, we do just enough to get started and then continue to plan and replan as we go based on a continual cycle of learning. In fact we plan at 5 different time horizons and if we miss one then gaps will ultimately emerge.
